Your Boring Husband is Actually a Happy Husband

How many of you ladies out here think you have a boring husband? Now when I say boring, I mean boring. All he wants to do is work, come home, take you to dinner, (maybe) to the movies, piddle around the house, work on cars, watch the game, and sit in his recliner. Are you asking yourself what kind of existence is this? Do you feel as though life is passing you by? Do you want to travel, hang out with your girls, etc. and all he wants to do is stay at home? Has this become an issue in your home? Does he not want to hang out with the boys? Is this causing any type of resentment or hostility? Not from him, but you feel some kind of way.

If any one of these has been an issue for you, then you may be doing a lot better than you know! You should give yourself a round of applause and take a bow because chances are, your husband is very happy at home! Think about it… People usually remove themselves from situations they don’t want to be in. And if he’s ready to come home to you, this is a good thing!

When a man wants to be at home this is an indication of peace. We don’t necessarily have to have guy trips. Granted, you know your husband and whether you can trust him. So I’m not saying if your husband goes on guy trips he’s out cheating on you. Once we have found our one and brought her back to the cave, that is where we want to be.

For us, this is happy.

I’m no different and my wife understands that. If she gives me an option of going somewhere or staying at home, most times I’m going to choose to be with her and the kids.

I’ve heard stories of women who destroyed their marriages because their husbands were seemingly boring. He’s taking care of her and the house, being responsible, and she thinks that the grass is greener on the other side. She cheated and destroyed the union. And some of the friends and family that they confided in stepped right in and took their boring husband’s! So don’t get this twisted! As always, communication in your marriage is essential.

So ladies don’t let this be discouraging to you. Talk to your husband and ask him about this. You may find your boring guy is a happy guy.
